疑问代词放在句首和一般疑问句构成特殊疑问句（在本书句法篇会具体学习），常见的疑问代词主要有下面几个。

指代物的疑问代词：what（什么）

指代人的疑问代词：who/whom（谁），whose（谁的）

既可指代人又可指代物的疑问代词：which（哪一个）

下面我们来学习这 5 个主要的疑问代词。

1. what（什么）：对事或物进行提问

☆ What’s your name? 你叫什么名字？

☆ What color is your dress? 你的裙子是什么颜色？

☆ What day is it today? 今天是星期几？

☆ What happened just now? 刚刚发生了什么事？

☆ What did you have for breakfast? 你早饭吃了什么？

2. who/whom（谁）：对人提问

☆ Who is the girl? 那个女孩是谁？

☆ Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

魔镜魔镜告诉我：谁是世界上最美丽的女人?

☆ Whom did you talk about? 你在谈论谁？

（“谁”在句中作宾语，所以提问时用 who 的宾格 whom，作 about 的宾语）

☆ To whom did you just speak? 你刚刚跟谁说话？

（“谁”在句中作宾语，所以提问时用 who 的宾格 whom，作 to 的宾语）

3. whose（谁的）：询问物品的归属者

☆ Whose book is this? 这是谁的书？

☆ Whose kite is that? 那是谁的风筝？

who，whom，whose 的区别

（1） who（谁）：用来对人提问，通常作主语。

Who is the boy over there？那边那个男孩是谁？

（2） whom（谁）：是 who 的宾格形式，作宾语。

Whom is Mary talking about？玛丽在谈论谁？

（3） whose（谁的）：用来对所属关系进行提问。

Whose book is it？这是谁的书？

4. which（哪个）：对一定范围内的人或物提问

☆ Which pen do you prefer?

你喜欢哪支钢笔？

（说话者双方都知道在某个范围内的 pen）

☆ Which of the pictures do you like most?

你最喜欢哪张图片？

（说话者双方都知道在某个范围内的 pictures）

☆ Which season do you like best?

你最喜欢哪个季节？

（众所周知，季节只有四个）

☆ Which of the three toys do you like?

这三个玩具中你喜欢哪个？

（明确说明了范围是 of the three toys）
