
Abstract
Hot spring tourism is the special kind of tourism products,including clinic science,mineral resource management and tourism management. With the development of tourism needs,health tourism is becoming one of the most popular tourism products. Over the new trend of health pursuing,academic research must be launched to discover the principles and characters of SPA tourism which will give us an insightful view of the whole industry.
Firstly,based on the resource management,this book gives a case study of three hot spring resorts in Enping. Resource allocation,product development and community involvement is discussed in the three case studies. From the historical perspective,the process of hot spring development is fully displayed in each case. The three cases found that the characteristic of monopoly resource management model is of government active participation,resource distribution ineffectiveness,rough hot spring product,and low community economic derived. The mechanism of hot spring resource monopoly model is developed. Investor gained the hot spring resource at low price because of the invalidation of government. Also,unmatured hot spring tourism market and the monopolization of hot spring resource lead the tourism industry spatial cluster in local community is not typical because the scale of hot spring resort tends to be small. Secondly,case study of Conghua hot spring resort which is characterized by resource unlimited sharing and limited resource sharing models are discussed. And the case of hot spring industry in Japan which is a mixture model of social wellbeing and market-oriented hot spring resource management mechanism is discussed. The model of unlimited resource management and limited resource is compared in the dimension of target,social environment,governments,corps,products and economic impacts. The conclusion is that the limited resource management model is more effective. Thirdly,the optimized limited resource model is put forward. It is a bond of government,guild of tourism investors,agent of trustee. It enforces the power of the former agent of hot spring resource trustee,which fetch on the shortcomings of common limited resource management model.
This research is very important to the development of hot spring resort. This research enriched the system of hot spring resort theories. Based on the firsthand data,this research revealed mechanism of resource management,testify the hot spring product theories,and fortify the tourism community theories. And the most important is that this book put forward the optimized hot spring resort management model,which is breaking out of the hot spring resort research field. Research on the hot spring resort management is also has its practical meaning. Firstly,this research is a reference to the other hot spring resort;secondly,the community case study is also useful for local-government to make decisions and policies related to hot spring resort communities;thirdly,this research will improve the efficiency of hot spring resource allocation and management.
